Fighting for the protection of the unborn and supporting mothers who may be in a crisis pregnancy is a fundamental part of the Apostolic Faith we live out as Catholics. Although Pro-life is mostly know for protecting the lives of the unborn, we as Catholics are also against the Death Penalty and Euthanasia. Here at Immaculate Conception it is a of special importance, given our name-sake. As Mary is the first tabernacle of our Lord, Jesus, we value the sanctity of life by our prayer and support. We as a parish raise funds throughout the year for the Crisis Nursery, Pro-life March, and with the special fundraiser of our annual rummage sale, we assist shelters and organizations caring for pregnant women.
“If we accept that a mother can kill her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill each other? Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, rather, to use violence to get what they want.”
― Mother Teresa
